It’s a question for me as well as you

We ask for all the reports, not just few

Drawing squares circles lines for some clue

To make a possible diagnosis that was long due

Wondering at times on the hopes we have to live up to…..

And you must be wondering what do we do?

In labs there are different frontlines

Increasing information of forever new guidelines

At times somehow chasing the reporting deadlines

Collaborating the findings for all that your report defines

Thinking at times of about the nature of nature’s confines ….

Are you still thinking on what do we do?

Prevention is better than cure

For prenatal counselling we assure

With even a category for pills you had before

NIPT, dual marker, ultrasound are tests, for we want to be sure

Still questioning at times was it enough or could we do some more…..

Are you still questioning what do we do?

Not every genetic problem has a solution

But for some it is just the diet, that is in question

Reaching a quick diagnosis and timely intervention

Can save a life of disability and mental deterioration

Rationalising at times our hopes and strong determination….

Be it a terrible diagnosis cancer or a problem of hormones

The mechanistic insights have provided us so many treatable zones

Marvelling over, what future has in store for genetics and upcoming unknowns…..

With all the reports, information, insights that teaming minds can gather

उसने पूछा.... जो 21 ज्यादा है तो इसमें कम क्या है और जो हो भी गया तो इसमें गम क्या है जवाब आया... मेरी आँखों में क्या गम दिखता है? मेरे चेहरे से कुछ ऐसा झलकता है? सुनकर बोला... कभी कभी तुम्हारी माँ के चेहरे पर देखा है कभी तुम्हारे पापा की बातों मे झलका है तो जवाब आया... हाँ माँ को कभी कभी ऐसा लगता है की उसके अलावा कोई मुझे समझता है? इस पर 21 ने पूछा फिर.... बस जब भी माँ का मन भर आता है मेरे मुस्कुराता चेहरा कुछ समझा जाता है क्या... उसने फिर पूछा की हमारे प्रारब्ध मे भावनाओ का प्रसार है और फिर ये तो दुखों का संसार है इस पर दुनियादारी मे 21 थोड़ा उलझा सा बोला मतलब.... मतलब की कौन है जिसे कोई गम ही नहीं क्या तुम्हारा समझदारी मे कोई सम नहीं जवाब आया... नहीं मेरा 21 तो मापदंड पर निर्धारित है और ये मूलभूत रूप मे 21 से ही रहित है यही मै समझाना चाह रहा था मेरा 21 मुझे Down syndrome बनाता है पर इस दुनिया मे तुम्हारे 21 को ये कहीं नहीं पहुंचाता है ये तो बस इस संसार की सोच का विकार है जिसके कुछ अलग से मापदंड इसका आधार है खुशियों मे हमारा परिवार किसी से कम ही नहीं क्यूंकि हमारे हौसले और उम्मीद का क...
